Elevation Recruitment Group in Burnley is supporting a growing business to appoint a hands-on Financial Controller who will own the finance function and drive change. The role involves leading management accounts, improving controls and reporting to support ambitious growth.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will partner with senior stakeholders, develop processes and build robust financial governance.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting and management reporting experience.
• Experience leading finance function in SME environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance function across management accounts, credit, purchase ledger and payroll.
• Own month-end close and production of accurate management accounts.
• Improve month-end timetable, controls and reporting processes.
• Strengthen balance sheet controls and financial governance.
• Coordinate year-end accounts and audit with external advisers.
• Provide financial insight and challenge to senior stakeholders.
