Financial Controller (Belfast)

HAYWARD HAWK is delighted to be exclusively recruiting a Financial Controller for a rapidly growing retail business in the hospitality sector, dedicated to exceeding expectations. The Financial Controller will be based at the company's Belfast head office on a hybrid basis and will help drive change within a dynamic, market-leading organization.

This is a newly created role. The successful Financial Controller will be a people manager with the ability to inform and influence the executive Board and key stakeholders.

The Role:

1. Take a proactive approach to designing and organizing the operational structure of the Finance department.
2. Evaluate new tools, processes, and resources.
3. Oversee all reporting channels, systems, controls, treasury, and cash flows.
4. Supervise statutory compliance, ensuring best practices.
5. Foster productive working relationships with the wider Senior Finance team.
6. Perform ad hoc duties as required.

The Person:

1. ACA, CIMA, or ACCA qualified with strong commercial experience.
2. Previous experience within an SME environment.
3. Strong management experience.
4. Effective communication skills with a proven track record liaising with the Board and stakeholders.
5. Ability to manage multiple workstreams.
6. Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
