Job description

Financial Controller - Belfast ( 2 days office )

VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with a hugely successful brand to help recruit for a commercially astute Financial Controller to help manage a small team and work closely with senior management on strategy.

Reporting to the Finance Director this is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role within a fast paced diverse business that offers huge progression opportunities.

What you'll do

  • Oversee profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flows
  • Manage banking, including working capital, payment authorisation, forecasts and covenant compliance
  • Develop and measure cost saving initiatives
  • Manage and oversee a small team, including 1 Senior Management Accountant, an Assistant Accountant and 3 Finance Assistants
  • Work closely with Head of Operations and Head of Property on strategy.
  • Oversee Risk and Controls.

About you

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Minimum 3-4 years post qualified experience
  • Experience across all areas - audit / payroll / management accounts
  • Commercial awareness
  • Confident to work closely with senior management and present to Heads of Departments.
  • High energy, keen to be involved in the day to day and confident to make fast and effective decisions.
