Position: Financial Controller (Exclusive/15 month FTC)

VANRATH is delighted to be working exclusively with a dynamic business to recruit a commercially astute Financial Controller for a 15-month fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role within a fast-paced, diverse business.

What you'll do

1. Supervise day-to-day accounting operations for a small, high-performing finance team.
2. Review monthly management accounts for multiple entities within the group.
3. Provide P&L variance analysis against budgets, acquisition models, and prior years, demonstrating an understanding of the business.
4. Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts, maintaining company cash flows.
5. Coordinate and prepare monthly reporting packs for investors and stakeholders.
6. Oversee the annual audit process for multiple groups, liaising with audit partners and managers, ensuring compliance with audit standards, and reviewing the final audited financial statements.
7. Liaise with external tax consultants to ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.

About you

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior financial management role.
• Proven experience in management reporting, financial reporting, budgeting, and managing audits.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to present and work closely with senior stakeholders.
