Job description

Hayward Hawk is partnering with an innovative PE backed tech business to recruit a Financial Controller to cover a 9-month maternity contract starting in June. This is a big opportunity to make a real impact during a key phase of growth and change.

You’ll be leading the finance operations for UK and ROI entities, supporting a major system upgrade, managing statutory reporting, and helping guide us through some important corporate restructuring work. The Role

• Taking ownership of monthly and quarterly group consolidations

• Reviewing and presenting the monthly management accounts to our senior team

• Leading all statutory reporting for our UK and ROI entities (turnover of £10M+)

• Managing and mentoring a great finance team of three in Belfast

• Supporting move from SAP to NetSuite—a key project for mid-2025 onwards

• Overseeing transfer pricing and intercompany processes during a group restructure

• Running the 2024 and 2025 audits from start to finish, working closely with external auditors

The Person

• You’ve got solid experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role, ideally in a UK/ROI business

• You’re comfortable leading a small team and getting stuck into the day-to-day when needed

• You know your way around audits, compliance, group consolidation, and restructuring

• Experience with NetSuite (especially implementations) would be a huge plus

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar

• A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred)

• At least 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role

• Strong ERP experience—ideally with SAP and/or NetSuite

• Confidence working with group structures, intercompany transactions, and statutory audits
