Our client is a highly respected financial services organisation (Mortgage & Savings). Due to a restructure, they are recruiting for an Interim Financial Controller for a 6-month period. You must be immediately available and able to travel to their Head Office in the East Midlands on Mondays and Tuesdays; Wednesday to Friday working from home. There will be a handover period.
The role involves managing a team of 4 (2 direct reports) and overseeing the financial operations, including treasury back office, accounts payable, payments, and reconciliations. Responsibilities also include evaluating financial risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, preparing financial statements, coordinating audits, and managing tax information (with support from third parties).
