RG Consultancy are working with an SME to recruit a Financial Controller for a full-time, permanent role. Office-based and hands-on, the role supports a growing SME and reports to the Financial Director. A hands-on position with one direct report (accounts assistant).

The role offers normal office hours with flexibility and is suitable for someone seeking to contribute to a small finance function in a local SME setting.

Qualifications

• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Account reconciliations

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and support management with financial analysis
• Submit VAT returns in line with deadlines
• Account for accruals and prepayments accurately
• Maintain nominal ledger and perform regular reconciliations
• Respond to HMRC queries in a timely manner
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy
• Complete account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Provide audit support as required by external auditors
• Line manage 1 direct report (accounts assistant) and delegate ad hoc tasks

Job description

RG Consultancy are working with an SME (approx. 25 million TO business) looking for a Financial Controller to join them on a full time, permanent basis. This role is an office-based position and is a hands on varied role. This would suit someone who is wanting to support an SME business.

The role reports to the financial director (who is based off site and in a UK location) and has 1 direct report (accounts clerk) who is based on site.

Benefits:
