Amplifi Talent is partnering with an award-winning, locally owned, multi-site SME headquartered in Antrim, to recruit a suitably experienced Financial Controller on a permanent basis. With ambitious plans for growth, our client seeks a hands-on finance professional to lead and manage the finance function with a focus on control, insight, and financial guidance & support.

Role Overview

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for end-to-end financial management of the business. You will support senior leadership with management accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. This is a key hire as the business scales and professionalizes its finance operations. This role may suit a seasoned Finance Manager / Controller or an ambitious Management Accountant seeking career advancement.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Management Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts, analyze financial performance, and develop financial KPIs.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting, reforecasting, and work with department heads on budgets.
3. Cashflow & Working Capital: Manage cashflow, monitor working capital, liaise with suppliers/customers, and optimize liquidity.
4. Financial Operations & Controls: Maintain internal controls, oversee finance operations, work with external accountants for audits.
5. Financial/Strategic Support: Support MD/CEO on financial strategy, funding, investments, and commercial discussions.

Person Specification

Essential: Professional with 5+ years' experience, management accounts, budgeting, cashflow management, proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, proactive, commercially minded.

Desirable: Experience in tech or related sector, familiarity with Sage or similar systems.
