Job summary

Big Sky Additions Limited near Stalham, Norfolk is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to own the finance function, managing day-to-day accounts, payroll, year-end work and lender reporting while partnering with the owners to drive improvements.

In this role you’ll enhance ERP usage, improve reporting and processes, and provide clear financial information to support decisions. Manufacturing experience is useful but not essential; the focus is practical problem solving and ownership.

Financial Controller

Near Stalham, Norfolk | £50,000 - £60,000 | Part-time or Full-time

We're looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function within a successful Norfolk business. Working closely with the owners, you'll have responsibility for the day-to-day accounts whilst also helping the business improve its reporting, processes and use of its ERP system. This is a hands-on role where you'll be close to the operation and able to see the impact of the improvements you make.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for:

• Financial accounts, including year-end preparation and quarterly lender reporting
• End-to-end payroll and associated pension requirements
• Audit requirements and maintaining effective financial controls
• Credit control and finance matters for smaller group entities
• Improving the use of the ERP system, reporting and finance processes
• Providing clear financial information to support business decisions

About You

We're looking for someone with strong, hands-on accounting experience who is comfortable taking ownership of a finance function and working directly with business owners. You'll need experience of year-end accounts, financial reporting and payroll, alongside good systems knowledge and an interest in improving processes and reducing manual work. Experience within manufacturing would be useful, but isn't essential. More important is a practical approach, the ability to adapt and the confidence to identify where things could be done better.
