Job summary

Big Sky Additions, an established SME based in North Walsham, is seeking an experienced finance professional to join the leadership team in a broad, hands-on role. You will provide accurate financial information, maintain strong controls and support the commercial performance of the business.

The role covers management accounting, budgeting, cash flow, cost analysis and working closely with operational managers to improve profitability and financial awareness across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience.
• Minimum 3 years' finance experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong management accounting, cost accounting and inventory knowledge.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and business partnering skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a hands-on SME environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and KPI reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and year-end processes.
• Analyse financial performance, variances and trends.
• Monitor manufacturing costs, labour, stock, WIP and product profitability.
• Support cost-saving initiatives and improvements to operational efficiency.
• Manage cash flow, debtors, creditors and working capital.
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure statutory and tax compliance.
• Coordinate the annual audit and liaise with external advisers.
• Manage and develop the finance team.
• Work with operational managers to improve financial awareness and accountability.
• Provide financial analysis to support investment, commercial and strategic decisions.
• Support the Managing Director in identifying business risks and opportunities.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate financial information, maintaining strong controls and supporting the commercial performance of the business.

Main Duties
