Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience as Hotel Financial Controller or senior hotel finance position.
• Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) would be beneficial.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of hotel revenue streams, departmental profitability and operational costs.
• Excellent budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting skills.
• Confident working with a General Manager and challenging operational decisions where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts and financial analysis.

• Lead, develop and motivate the finance team.
• Ensure strong internal controls, financial procedures and compliance with company standards.

A basic salary of between £44'000 - £48'000 + bonus + Healthcare + wider company benefits.

We are recruiting for an experienced and commercially astute Financial Controller to join a successful, quality-driven hotel operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, commercially focused finance professional who understands the demands of the hotel industry and can provide strong financial leadership whilst supporting the wider management team.

As Financial Controller, you will take full responsibility for the hotel's financial performance, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and meaningful commercial insight to drive profitability.

The Role

You will demonstrate:

• Previous experience as a Hotel Financial Controller or in a comparable senior hotel finance position.
• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) would be beneficial.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of hotel revenue streams, departmental profitability and operational costs.
• Excellent budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting skills.
• Confidence working alongside a General Manager and challenging operational decisions where necessary.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to balance financial control with commercial opportunity.
