Job summary

Everlinked Ltd is seeking a high-impact Financial Controller to lead all financial aspects for a key manufacturing division. You will partner with the Divisional Managing Director, drive the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, and own reporting cycles across two sites.

You will strengthen financial controls, manage cash flow and inventory costing, and lead a finance team through a period of rapid growth and acquisitions.

Qualifications

  • Extensive financial control experience in manufacturing at senior/divisional level.
  • Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong costing, inventory and margin analysis knowledge.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with ability to influence at MD level.
  • Proven experience leading a finance team and driving continuous improvement.
  • Exposure to acquisition processes (due diligence, integration or sell side).
  • Hands-on, driven and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as trusted adviser to the Divisional Managing Director with financial insight for strategic decisions.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting, including management accounts and variance analysis.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning for the division.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital and balance sheet integrity.
  • Oversee inventory valuation, stock control and costing across sites.
  • Strengthen controls and ensure statutory, tax and audit compliance.
  • Report to group finance and meet group deadlines.
  • Support capital investment appraisals and business cases for growth projects.
  • Lead, develop and motivate the divisional finance team.
  • Support integration of acquisitions and contribute to group M&A activity.

Job description

Be the number one in finance for a fast-growing manufacturing division, backed by an Multi aquisition group.

Our client is a fast-growing group that has acquired eight companies in the last four years and is accelerating its aquisition goals. As the group expands, they are looking for an ambitious, driven Financial Controller to lead finance for one of their key manufacturing divisions.

This is a high-impact role. The division currently operates two manufacturing facilities and has bold growth plans, so you will play a central part in shaping its financial direction. Working side by side with the Divisional Managing Director, you will be the commercial finance partner they rely on, with the chance to grow your career alongside a group that is moving fast.

The role

You will be the senior finance professional in the division, taking ownership of all financial aspects of the business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a trusted adviser to the Divisional Managing Director, providing financial insight that supports strategic and operational decisions
  • Leading the monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting cycle, including management accounts, variance analysis and commentary
  • Owning budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning for the division
  • Managing cash flow, working capital and balance sheet integrity
  • Overseeing inventory valuation, stock control and costing (standard costing, overhead absorption and margin analysis) across both manufacturing sites
  • Strengthening financial controls, processes and systems, and ensuring compliance with statutory, tax and audit requirements
  • Reporting to group finance and meeting group deadlines and standards
  • Supporting capital investment appraisals and business cases for site and growth projects
  • Leading, developing and motivating the divisional finance team
  • Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses and contributing to the group's M&A activity as it grows
About you

This role is only open to candidates with a proven background in manufacturing environments. You will have:

  • Extensive financial control experience in manufacturing at a senior or divisional level
  • A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing costing, inventory and margin analysis
  • Excellent commercial acumen and the confidence to challenge and influence at MD level
  • Proven experience leading a finance team and driving continuous improvement
  • Exposure to either side of the acquisition process (due diligence, integration or the sell side), which would be highly advantageous
  • A hands-on, driven approach and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
