Job summary

EW Recruitment Limited is seeking a Financial Controller for a strategic, hands-on role in Hemel Hempstead. You will lead the financial operations, deliver reporting, and support budgeting and forecasting.

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong UK GAAP/SOX knowledge and a track record of managing end-to-end financial processes in a manufacturing or multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver accurate financial reports.
• Experience in VAT, corporation tax, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, month-end close and statutory filings.

My client is a growing company, looking for a Financial Controller to join their team. You will be in a strategic role and be responsible for the full financial operations. They are a nice team and are looking for someone who would like to be part of that. The ideal candidate will be qualified with one of the following ACA, ACCA, CIMA.

Duties:

• Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
• Deliver accurate profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
• Prepare management accounts
• Ensure timely reporting
• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
• Perform pricing evaluations and profitability analysis
• Manage VAT returns, corporation tax packs, payroll submissions, and statutory filings.
• Lead annual standard cost roll and absorption costing activities.
• Oversee inventory valuation and annual stock take processes.
• Support operations with manufacturing performance reporting
• Monitor capital expenditure and fixed asset management.
• Manage external and internal audit processes.
• Coordinate activities with tax, payroll, and R&D teams.
• Oversee working capital, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory management.
• Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Manage lease accounting and reporting requirements.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP, SOX, and statutory reporting.
