Job summary

Corporate Travel Management (CTM) Group is seeking a Financial Controller to provide support to team members and assist with finance policies at CTM Europe. The role involves preparing monthly reports, variance analysis, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

Qualified Chartered Accountant applicants with over 3 years of experience in the Big 4 are encouraged to apply. Hybrid working is common, with three days in the office per week, and a focus on employee wellbeing initiatives.

Job description

About the Role

The role of Financial Controller is to provide support and coaching to team members and assist the Head of Accounting and Control with finance and accounting policies, practices, and procedures at CTM Europe. It includes compliance with statutory requirements and preparation of monthly financial reports, accounting records, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting, enabling senior management to make informed decisions and improve profitability. Regular visits to the Bradford office are expected, including month‑end attendance.

Skills & Experience

• Qualified Chartered Accountant ACA/ACCA or other recognised international qualification
• 3+ years of Big 4 experience
• Experience leading audit and serving as first point of contact for external auditors
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise
• Focused on deliverables and deadlines
• Ability to manage a team of five members
• Ability to provide clear and understandable analysis for management and stakeholders
• Demonstrated effective written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to manage change positively
• Self‑motivated and well organised
• Thorough, accurate, and strong attention to detail
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial reporting
• Proven ability to manage and develop a high‑performing team
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Strong understanding of compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
