Job summary

IN2 Consult is seeking a Financial Controller for a London-based, hybrid role. You will own the year-end close and audit, strengthen controls, and oversee outsourced finance to ensure timely, accurate reporting. Lead the internal team and support due diligence during growth.

The ideal candidate is a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with hands-on experience in lean finance, strong stakeholder skills, and the ability to engage senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with substantial Financial Controller-level experience.
• Experience leading year-end close and external audit in a PE-backed environment.
• Experience with acquisitions or post-deal integration is advantageous.

Financial Controller - Permanent - London (Hybrid) - Up to £90,000

IN2 Consult has an opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a fast-growing, private equity backed business.

The duties of the Financial Controller role include:

• Take ownership of the year-end close and audit process, ensuring a smooth, well-managed delivery.
• Act as the senior finance lead for audit preparation, stakeholder management and completion of statutory deliverables.
• Review and strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting in a lean finance environment.
• Oversee and support the outsourced day-to-day finance function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and clear accountability.
• Manage and develop the internal finance team, currently comprising an Analyst and Junior Analyst.
• Support finance due diligence, integration planning and post-acquisition activity if the proposed transaction completes.
• Provide clear financial insight and practical guidance to senior leadership during a period of growth and change.
• Help assess the longer-term structure, capability and resourcing required for the finance function.

The successful Financial Controller profile:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with substantial Financial Controller-level experience.
• Proven experience leading a year-end close and external audit, in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.
• Comfortable operating in a lean, hands-on finance team and improving processes without requiring extensive infrastructure.
• Experience supporting an acquisition, financial due diligence or post-deal integration would be highly advantageous.
• Strong technical accounting, financial control and stakeholder-management capability.
• Able to lead junior team members while working effectively with outsourced finance providers.
• Pragmatic, commercially minded and able to operate confidently with senior stakeholders.
