Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a qualified accountant to lead the finance function in a growing multi-site business in the South West. The role oversees reporting, budgeting, cashflow, payroll, and external audit, partnering with senior leaders to drive commercial performance.

You will manage a small finance team, develop controls and BI capabilities, and support strategic growth initiatives across sites. A hands-on SME leader is preferred with strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting expertise.
• Hands-on approach in an SME environment.

Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting expertise.
• A hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively in an SME environment.
• Confident business partner, capable of building strong relationships across the organisation.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to provide meaningful financial insight.
• Experience improving processes, controls and reporting capabilities.
• Comfortable working across multiple sites and engaging with operational stakeholders.
• Proactive, adaptable and driven, with the ability to thrive in a growing and evolving business.

Desirable

• Experience within manufacturing, engineering or a multi-site environment.
• Knowledge of Sage 50, Power BI and/or Power Query.
• Experience supporting business transformation, growth or change initiatives.

Job Offer

• Salary range from £65,000 - £70,000 per annum, dependent on the level of experience.
• Car allowance.
• Up to 10% bonus.
• Hybrid working, with four days onsite and one day working from home.
