Job summary

Our client is seeking a part-time Financial Controller to bolster the finance function on an initial 6-month FTC with a view to longer-term permanent role. The successful candidate will work fully remote and be ACA or ACCA qualified with a hands-on and adaptable mindset.

The role focuses on monthly management accounts, supporting financial schedules, consolidating statutory accounting and VAT returns, and ensuring robust controls across the function.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant.
• Experience operating robust control environments.
• Experience with month-end and year-end processes including statutory accounts and audit delivery.
• Strong IT skills (advanced Excel and intermediate Word).

Financial Controller

Our client has gone through a recent restructure and is looking for a part time Financial Controller to ‘bolster’ the finance department on an initial 6 month FTC with the view of longer term permanent role.

The right person will be happy to work fully remote, be fully ACA or ACCA qualified and have a hands on and adaptable mentality.

The main focus will be completion of monthly management accounts and supporting financial schedules, consolidating statutory accounting and VAT returns.

The main duties are:

• Producing full Monthly management accounts
• Cash flow and forecast updates
• Consolidated Statutory Accounts & Annual Return
• Restricted Funds and Trusts
• Balance Sheet Controls
• VAT Compliance

The ideal person will be:

• Be a fully qualified Accountant.
• Have demonstrable experience of operating robust control environments.
• Have experience of being accountable for month end and year end processes including statutory accounts and audit delivery.
• Have strong IT skills (advanced Excel and intermediate Word)
• Be able to work flexibly, swiftly and with absolute confidentiality

This is a great opportunity for a fractional or portfolio FC/HEAD OF FINANCE who is happy to commit to a 6 month contract or someone looking for part time with full remote and flexibility.

Salary: £65,000-£70,000
