Job summary

Nigel Wright Group seeks a Financial Controller for a 6-month period with a view to permanency. You will lead financial accounting, transaction processing, statutory reporting, tax compliance and treasury management, working closely with the CEO and Finance Business Partners to ensure integrity of financial records.

The role is within a growing UK SME with a European presence, requiring strong IFRS/UK GAAP knowledge and experience in high-volume accounting environments.

Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Accountant preferred; QBE candidates with relevant controller experience considered.

Responsibilities

The Job

A Financial Controller will be hired for a 6 month period with a view to becoming permanent. This hire will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial accounting, transaction processing, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and treasury management. This position with closely with the CEO and the Finance Business Partners, with accountability for the integrity of financial records, financial controls and the delivery of statutory and management reporting.

About You

• A fully Qualified Accountant would be preferred, however Qualified by Experience candidates with relevant financial controller experience will be considered
• Significant experience in financial accounting, statutory reporting, and tax compliance
• UK GAAP (IFRS) knowledge is desireable
• Experience in transaction-heavy, multi channel e-commerce or retail environments would be beneficial
• Proven ability top manage high-volume transactions and complex accounting processes
• Knowledge of EU VAT and cross-border trade compliance
• Proficiency with ERP & accounting systems
