Job summary

Marks Sattin (UK) Ltd in London is seeking a Head Accountant for its UK entity. This is a full-time in-office role based in Mayfair, with occasional ad-hoc flex. You will have complete ownership of the UK entity's finance function, reporting directly to the US Finance team.

The role involves end-to-end financial management, including month-end close, VAT, payroll, ledgers, and annual tax returns. The candidate should be able to work autonomously in a small environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified or QBE Accountant.
• Several years owning a finance function in a relatively small environment.
• Capable of working autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Production of month-end and year-end financial information.
• Prepare and post month-end journals.
• Complete month-end processes, producing month end reports through to trial balance.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
• Process monthly payroll.
• Maintain and reconcile sales and purchase ledger.
• Annual tax returns.

9am-5pm

Looking to take on a Finance professional in a stand-alone role to report directly to the Finance Function in the US. Complete ownership of the finance responsibilities for their UK entity from start to finish
