Financial Controller - Permanent Position

Amplifi Talent is partnering with an award-winning, locally owned, multi-site SME headquartered in Antrim, to recruit a suitably experienced Financial Controller on a permanent basis. With ambitious plans for growth, our client is seeking a hands-on finance professional to lead and manage the finance function with a focus on control, insight, and financial guidance & support.

Role Overview

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the end-to-end financial management of the business. You will support senior leadership with timely, accurate, and insightful management accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. This is a key hire as the business scales and professionalizes its finance operations. This opportunity may suit a seasoned Finance Manager / Controller or an ambitious Management Accountant seeking career advancement.

Key Responsibilities include:

1. Management Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management accounts; analyze financial performance; develop financial KPIs.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead annual budgeting and reforecasting; collaborate with department heads; build financial models.
3. Cashflow & Working Capital: Manage and forecast cash flow; monitor working capital; liaise with suppliers and customers; optimize cash position.
4. Financial Operations & Controls: Maintain internal controls; oversee AP/AR, credit control, payroll, VAT; coordinate with external auditors.
5. Financial/Strategic Support: Support MD and CEO with financial strategy; assist with funding, investments, and commercial discussions.

Person Specification

• Essential: Accounting professional with 5+ years' experience, ideally in an SME; strong management accounts and budgeting skills; cash flow management experience; proficient in Excel and financial modelling; proactive and commercially minded.
• Desirable: Experience in tech or related sector; familiarity with Sage or similar cloud accounting systems.
