Hybrid is a global marketing agency specialising in higher education with offices worldwide. We are seeking a Finance Assistant to support transactional finance tasks, reconciliations and month-end processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will work across credit control, accounts payable, accounts receivable and treasury, playing a key role in maintaining cash flow and financial accuracy while developing your career in finance.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in finance or transactional support services.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working with data and comfortable using Excel.
• Experience with finance and CRM systems (NetSuite, Salesforce, etc.).
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and with a positive can-do approach.
• Enthusiasm to be part of a growing company in a rapidly changing digital media market.
• Initiative to identify opportunities to drive process improvements across the business.

Responsibilities

• Credit control: monitor and follow up on current and overdue debt, reporting to leaders.
• Accounts payable: PO matching, invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliation and onboarding.
• Accounts receivable: raise sales invoices, manage customer onboarding, report invoicing gaps.
• Bank and treasury: bank reconciliation and processing; supplier payment runs.
• Team support: manage inboxes for AP/AR and assist with finance tasks.

Location: Bristol, BS1 4HX | hybrid working

As Finance Assistant at Hybrid, you will play an integral role in our Finance team, supporting with transactional finance, reconciliations, month-end processes, and wider finance operations. This role is ideally suited to someone who is eager to learn and develop their skills in a fast-paced environment and build a long-term fulfilling career in Finance.

What you’ll do:

Credit control

• Monitor and follow up on current and overdue debt, working with the wider team to elevate as appropriate to maintain cash balances.
• Maintain records for expected payments, reporting weekly to our financial controller and senior leadership team.

Accounts payable

• PO matching, invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliation and vendor onboarding.

Accounts receivable

• Raise sales invoices, manage customer onboarding, and report to internal departments on invoicing gaps.

Bank and treasury

• Bank reconciliation and processing.
• Supplier payment runs.

Team support

• Inbox management for AP, AR and Accounts, assigning emails to the team and managing queries from partners, suppliers and colleagues.
• Support the wider finance team and administration tasks.
