Scraye is a fast-growing startup building a fintech-enabled real estate rentals platform. Our mission is to make real estate accessible to all by building the simplest way to rent and buy in the UK and abroad.
We're looking for people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to build a large, socially impactful technology business that redefines how real estate is transacted. If you are energetic, passionate, talented and want to make a difference, we would love to connect.
About the role
As a Finance Analyst, you’ll be involved in all financial aspects of the company, including both for our fintech services (financing) as well as for our operating business (invoicing, rent accounting, credit control).
You will be reporting directly to the CFO of the company. Each and every day is different at a startup so you’ll be learning and growing as you go along but you can have confidence in knowing that the support and knowledge of the entire team will always be at your disposal. We work as a team and we grow as a team.
What you’ll do
The primary responsibilities are:
●Rent collection and reconciliation
●Issuance and monitoring of our fintech services—rent factoring, guarantor, deposit-free
Key traits
We are principally looking for the below:
●Hard working:we’ve developed a wonderful culture but are also conscious that as an ambitious startup, our team sometimes needs to go above and beyond to deliver on our targets. If having a strict, predictable 9am-6pm workday is important for you, this is not the right role. Our team comes to the office in Paddington 5 days a week,
●Super talented:we aim to give our teammates responsibilities commensurate with their talent. The more you are comfortable with taking initiative and delivering on targets, the faster your responsibilities will grow.
●Proactive with common sense: we get a lot done with a focused team. Being proactive and having common sense around prioritisation and what moves the needle is a key benefit in this role.
●Analytically strong: a solid feel for numbers is an absolute must.
●You enjoy a fast-paced environment: given our nature as a startup, each day is different and those who thrive are comfortable with the fast pace of the business.
●Great to work with: we've focused on building a team which is not only talented but also great to work with. This means the team is respectful, collaborative and works as a coherent unit.
Experience and skills
●At least 2 years of experience in finance.
●Solid knowledge of accounting.
●Bachelor or higher degree from a top tier university, ideally with merit.
●Proven experience using Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with basic functions and formulas.
●Preferably, albeit not obligatory, previous experience in real estate.
●Fully fluent in English.
What we offer
●Equity linked to performance.
●Potential for rapid growth and management opportunities.
●Office-based work environment 5 out of 5 days—Paddington.
●25 days of paid holidays (plus bank holidays).
●An exciting start-up culture that values people & opportunities to develop your career.
