Job summary

Loungers is seeking a Financial Accountant to join the Finance team during a pivotal transformation. You will help implement a new finance system, drive improvements to capex and fixed assets, and support statutory reporting and audits from a strong control environment.

The role is hybrid—4 days in Bristol HQ and 1 day from home—with exposure to senior stakeholders and opportunities to grow into management through hands-on project leadership.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA or ACCA with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Hospitality or retail experience is advantageous.
• Experience with fixed assets, rent accounting and IFRS/IAS work.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition of fixed asset, rent and lease accounting to the new system.
• Review asset policies and propose improvements to meet business needs.
• Support process improvements across rent and fixed asset accounting.
• Assist IFRS 16 calculations and IAS 17 provisions for the UK entity.
• Oversee fixed asset register and period-end reporting.
• Support statutory accounting, year-end consolidation and audits.
• Assist with VAT, capital allowances and corporation tax queries.
