Job Details

The primary purpose of the role will be completing month-end financial review through risk profiling and management of the balance sheet, review of manual journals (both IFRS and US GAAP), and supporting the business in delivering statutory and group audits and producing statutory accounts. This is a 13-month contract.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Own the external statutory audit process for all 9 companies by building strong relationships and being the key contact with external auditors to ensure timely submission of the statutory accounts.
2. Monitor and improve the health of the balance sheet through audit-level analysis to determine risk exposure and required action plans. Support the month-end process through local and consolidated journal review.
3. Review compliance with group corporate policies across all entities within UK Wholesale. Address gaps by designing pragmatic control improvements to ensure alignment.
4. Support the production of statutory accounts for all 9 companies.
5. Assist with the completion of the group audit of our SOX framework and standard audit procedures.
6. Provide local expertise and technical support on US GAAP, UK GAAP, and IFRS matters, including reviewing accounting policies and drafting related papers.
7. Perform ad-hoc duties and project work as directed by the Financial Accounting Manager and senior finance management.

Candidate Attributes:

• Audit experience in a Top 20 practice (considering smaller firms)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• ACA/ACCA qualified
• Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and US GAAP
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
