Job summary

Accountable Recruitment are collaborating with a growing business in Liverpool to recruit a Financial Accountant who is ACA or ACCA qualified after recent time in a Big 4/top 10 firm. The role offers broad exposure to financial reporting and continuous improvement within a supportive finance team.

You will own the financial reporting cycle, support the wider finance function, and play a key part in sustaining growth with opportunities to progress as the business evolves.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting skills and experience in a practice environment
• Experience with monthly management accounts and statutory financial statements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proactive approach with continuous improvement mindset

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and statutory financial statements
• Support year-end audit and liaise with external auditors
• Handle corporation tax, VAT and regulatory compliance
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and internal controls
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and commercial teams
• Identify process improvements across the finance function
• Provide guidance to transactional finance team members
