Job summary

Forge Talent is partnering with a fast-growing healthcare business to hire a Financial Reporting Manager who will own the organisation’s financial reporting framework and drive high-quality statutory reporting. You will work under the Head of Reporting, with exposure to IFRS, audit, tax and complex accounting matters as the business scales.

The role suits an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant who is hands-on, proactive, and comfortable raising technical standards within a growing finance team.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified with hands-on statutory reporting experience.
• Strong IFRS technical background with tax exposure.
• Able to explain complex accounting to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts in line with IFRS (preferred).
• Own technical accounting matters, including drafting papers on complex transactions.
• Act as a key contact for external auditors and lead the year-end audit process.
• Ensure balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and robust financial controls.
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes and systems.
• Support and mentor junior members of the finance team.
• Work closely with the Head of Finance as part of a long-term succession plan.

We’re working with a fast-growing, purpose-led healthcare business on the hire of a Financial Reporting Manager to join their evolving finance function.

This is a key role reporting into the Head of Reporting, offering genuine exposure to statutory reporting, IFRS, audit, tax and complex accounting matters, with a clear succession and development pathway built into the role.

It’s well suited to an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant, who enjoys being hands-on while helping to raise the technical standard of a growing finance team.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the organisation’s financial reporting framework, ensuring high-quality, compliant reporting while helping strengthen controls and processes as the business scales.

This is not a box-ticking role you’ll be trusted to apply judgement, challenge where needed, and work closely with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards (IFRS preferred)
• Own technical accounting matters, including drafting papers and advising on complex transactions
• Act as a key contact for external auditors and lead the year-end audit process

About You

• Strong technical accounting background with IFRS exposure

• Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable operating in a growing, evolving business
