Job summary

Axon Moore is seeking a well-rounded Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to join its finance team in the UK. You will own key financial reporting and controls, delivering timely management information and supporting Group accounting and compliance activities.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role in improving processes, maintaining accuracy, and collaborating with senior stakeholders across the business. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills and confidence using finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, month-end journals and financial variance analysis.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Support Group consolidation, intercompany accounting and reporting.
• Assist with statutory accounts, external audits, corporation tax, VAT, R&D and other compliance requirements.
• Maintain robust financial controls, accounting records and audit trails.
• Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, systems and reporting efficiency.
• Work closely with senior finance stakeholders and provide technical guidance and support to junior colleagues.

Axon Moore are supporting an exciting client in the search for a well rounded Accountant to join its finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of key financial reporting and control activities within an established business operating as part of a wider Group.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting Group accounting and compliance activities.

This opportunity would suit a technically strong, hands-on finance professional who enjoys improving processes, maintaining high standards of accuracy and working collaboratively across a business.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You will have strong financial accounting experience, with a solid understanding of month end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
