Job summary

Greenwell Gleeson Ltd in Redditch, UK, is seeking a qualified accountant to play a pivotal role in a fast-growing international renewable energy business. You will own the UK finance function, manage month-end close, intercompany accounting, and provide commercial insight across the business, while supporting European subsidiaries and group reporting.

Collaborate with Group FC and CFO, with exposure to ERP systems, budgeting, forecasting, and continuous process improvements, plus a performance

Qualifications

• Strong financial accounting and management reporting experience.
• Excellent Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
• Experience in a multi-entity or group environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Owning the UK month-end process and management accounts for the UK business.
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journals and cash flow forecasts.
• Managing intercompany accounting, FX reporting and compliance.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting.
• Partnering with operational teams to provide commercial insight.

• Assisting with year-end audit and statutory reporting.

Are you a qualified accountant looking for a role where you can make a real impact in a fast-growing international business?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a market-leading business operating within the renewable energy sector. Experiencing rapid growth across the UK and Europe, the company is investing heavily in its finance function and offers genuine career development within a business at the forefront of the transition to sustainable energy.

Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and CFO, you'll take ownership of the UK finance function while supporting international operations, giving you broad exposure across financial reporting, commercial finance and business partnering.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

Owning the month-end process and management accounts for the UK business

Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, journals and cash flow forecasts
