Role Summary: Smart Managed Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail oriented Financial Accountant to join our team in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. This role is ideal for an accountant with a solid foundation in accounting principles and a few years of experience looking to advance their career in a dynamic and growing organisation. They will be reporting to the finance manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing the monthly managements accounts in a timely and accurate manner including profit and loss reports and balance sheet.
- Assisting with the preparation of financial and regulatory information for internal and external audit purposes.
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
- Undertaking other projects and analysis on an adhoc basis, responding to queries under time pressure.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision making for both finance and the wider business.
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
Qualifications:
- PQ or fully qualified (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
