Job summary

A rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution company in Leicester is seeking a Senior Financial / Management Accountant to join its team on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will report to the Group Financial Controller and be responsible for various accounting functions including the production of management accounts, reconciliations, and supporting financial audits, requiring strong accounting skills and relevant qualifications. This role offers a salary of £50,000 to £65,000 based on experience, along with pension and onsite parking.

Senior Financial / Management Accountant : Leicester

Our client : a rapidly growing manufacturing and distribution business based in Leicester : is seeking an experienced candidate to join its team on a full:time permanent basis. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Production of management accounts,
• Control account reconciliations,
• Accruals and prepayments,
• Inventory controls,
• Managing fixed assets register,
• General ledger, incl. journal preparation and posting,
• VAT returns,
• Assist with completion of month:end, ad:hoc weekly / monthly reporting,
• Support with the annual statutory financial statement audit
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
  
  

The Right Person

• Qualified ACCA or ACA or ACMA
• Ideally with experience of imports and exports,
• Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
• Strong accounting skills to include both P and L and balance sheet
• Be able to unpick problems and deliver solutions
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
• Able to fit into a dynamic and fast:moving accounting team within a large organisation,
• Excellent planning, organisation skills and adherence to tight deadline,
• Strong IT skills incl. Microsoft Excel (pivot charts / tables, macros, data models), Sage, Xero and, MS Dynamics 365 : Business Central (ERP).
