T2M Resourcing Ltd is recruiting a Financial Accountant in the Kidderminster area on a hybrid basis (3 days in the office, 2 days at home). The role focuses on financial accounting, month- and year-end close, statutory reporting and audit preparation within a forward-thinking team embracing AI to improve processes and decision making.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA, strong technical accounting skills, and an interest in AI-driven finance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of annual statutory accounts.
• Ownership of designated balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts have audit trails and documentation.
• Reconcile intercompany balances.
• Maintain schedules for fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, provisions and other accounts.
• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
• Assist with VAT returns.
• Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor changes to accounting standards and regulations relevant to the role.
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls to safeguard data integrity.
• Contribute to improvements in finance systems, reporting processes and reconciliation procedures.

T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Financial Accountant for an established and successful business in the Kidderminster area who are on an exciting transformation journey (embracing automation and AI within the business support functions). You will work as part of a small finance team to undertake a broad and challenging role - you can be assured of gaining some great experience and further developing your skills!

This role will suit a qualified, forward-thinking accountant with suitable experience or someone seeking their first move into industry from accountancy practice. The finance function are keen to embrace AI to deliver meaningful improvements across processes, data analysis and decision making.

You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (UK Gaap), statutory requirements and internal financial controls. The role will focus on financial accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end and year-end close processes, statutory reporting, audit preparation and compliance.

• Location - Kidderminster (hybrid working - 3 days in the office/ 2 days at home).
• Salary: up to £50,000 per annum subject to experience.

What will you be doing?

As Financial Accountant, key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of annual statutory accounts.
• Ownership of designated balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure balance sheet accounts are supported by clear audit trails and appropriate documentation.
• Reconcile intercompany balances.
• Maintain supporting schedules for fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, provisions and other relevant accounts.
• Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process, responding to questions and queries.
• Assist with the preparation of VAT returns.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with relevant tax and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor changes to accounting standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the role.
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls to safeguard the accuracy of financial information.
• Contribute to improvements in finance systems, reporting processes and reconciliation procedures.
