This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract role based in our Mayfair office.

Principle Accountabilities and Duties:

1. Delivery of the monthly close process, analysing transactions and preparing required journals.
2. Assisting with the production of Group Reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
3. Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register, and capitalisation, depreciation and disposal of assets.
4. Assist in the preparation of the annual financial statements, including providing information and evidence to the external audit team.
5. Preparation of VAT and Corporate Tax Return and associated reconciliations.
6. Performance of daily reconciliations between front and back office systems.

Risk & Regulatory Duties:

1. Maintain knowledge of all applicable regulatory requirements including the Bank's Risk and Compliance policies and procedures and adhere to these to avoid exposing the Bank to undue risk.
2. Report policy/procedure breaches and areas of potential non-compliance and suspicions promptly upon identification in accordance with the Bank's Risk and Compliance policies.
3. Accurately execute all controls within own area to minimise risk of policy, procedure, and/or regulatory breaches.
4. Identify new risks/control gaps within own area and escalate accordingly to your Line Manager.

Qualifications, Experience Required:

1. Educated to degree level standard with a deep banking experience focused on financial reporting and local taxation.
2. Knowledge of accounting for banking products AND IAS, IFRS.
3. Good understanding of finance related IT infrastructure and software.
