Job summary

Croda is seeking a newly qualified Financial Accountant to join the UK Finance team based at Cowick Hall, East Yorkshire. The role will support balance sheet integrity, statutory reporting, audits, and drive improvements to financial processes in a global organisation.

This position offers broad exposure to financial control, central cost management, and corporate reporting, with a hybrid working arrangement and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified finance professional (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Supporting the preparation and delivery of month-end reporting.
• Prepare monthly central cost reports, providing analysis and commentary on spending performance against budget and forecast.
• Partner with budget holders and functional leaders to improve understanding of cost performance and identify opportunities for greater cost control.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and reviews, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Supporting compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, standardisation, and control.
• Complete UK VAT submissions, and other regulatory submissions.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting projects, and business initiatives as required.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring audit requests are delivered accurately and on time.
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.

As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join the UK Finance team, based at our Cowick Hall offices in East Yorkshire. This role will support the UK Finance Manager in ensuring that key financial processes are well-controlled and managed as well as ensuring balance sheet integrity, supporting statutory reporting and audits, and driving improvements to processes and governance.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will gain valuable experience in statutory reporting, financial controls, and stakeholder engagement.
