Job summary

Butler Rose in Exeter is recruiting a Financial Accountant for a growing business. This hybrid role combines office-based and remote work, two days in the office and three days remote, with exposure to statutory accounts and financial reporting.

You will work with senior stakeholders, prepare management packs, balance sheet reconciliations, and support process improvements while mentoring junior team members and developing professionally.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or finalist.
• At least three years' accounting experience within a commercial or professional environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for a portfolio of entities.
• Review monthly and quarterly management accounts and financial reports.
• Prepare board reporting packs and support senior leadership meetings.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Produce half-year and annual statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Liaise with auditors and key internal and external stakeholders.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc finance projects.

Butler Rose is recruiting a Financial Accountant for a growing, successful business in Exeter. This is a hybrid role offering 2 days in the office and 3 days remote working.

This role offers exposure to a varied workload, working with senior stakeholders and managing the preparation and review of financial reporting, statutory accounts and business-critical financial information.
