Our client seeks a Financial Accountant to join their team.

Role Profile

Responsible for supporting the financial operations of the business through accurate processing, reporting and analysis. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, preparing statutory and management accounts, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee finance team members to perform daily financial administration and transactional processing.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports and accounts.
• Support the production of tax returns and compliance reporting.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
• Contribute to specialist areas or reporting, such as Roaming and Regulatory reporting.
• Manage and review regular financial inputs, including invoices, payments, receipts, journals, and reconciliations.
• Oversight of the Fixed Asset Register - setting up jobs, posting expenditure, preparing and logging business cases and tracking performance against budget.
• Monitor all inventory related transactions - including posting of transactions and running regular stock takes.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and assist with the statutory financial statements, annual audit and regulatory reporting.
• Assist with the month-end and year-end closure processes.
• Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful commentary to support business understanding.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.
