A leading audit support firm in the UK is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to assist in preparing statutory accounts and ensuring financial statements are audit-ready. The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Controller, support month-end and year-end processes, and manage audit queries. This role demands strong UK GAAP knowledge and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines. Immediate start preferred.

Finatal have partnered with a £70m turnover facilities management business entering a busy audit and reporting period. The organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support the year‑end process, prepare audit deliverables, and ensure financial statements are accurate, compliant, and audit‑ready.

This role will work closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team to strengthen reporting quality, address auditor queries, and support a smooth and timely close.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to audit queries and manage information requests

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong audit or year‑end experience
• Solid understanding of UK GAAP and statutory reporting requirements
• Experience supporting external audits in SME or mid‑market environments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines
• Available to start immediately
