Job summary

Octopus Electric Vehicles Limited is seeking a Finance Transformation Manager to own the platform vision for Finance and collaborate with Product & Tech to shape our leasing and billing platform.

You will synthesize priorities across Finance functions, define target outcomes, and help shape a long-term transformation. This hands-on role requires analytical rigor and structured problem solving to design processes that can be handed over to the team and genuinely improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in consulting, finance transformation, finance systems, or finance-technology advisory.
• Experience shaping requirements for finance systems that connect billing, accounting, reporting and operational finance.
• Consulting background with clear evidence of getting up to speed on unfamiliar finance processes quickly and driving structured problem solving independently.
• The ability to translate finance needs into requirements technology and product teams can build from.

Responsibilities

• Own the finance requirements for the development of our leasing and billing platform, ensuring it supports securitisation reporting, accounting treatment and day-to-day operational finance
• Translate complex finance processes into clear, testable requirements that engineering and product teams can build from
• Design and build new finance processes end to end and hand them over so they run reliably without you
• Identify and remove manual BAU work across Financial Operations, Financial Control, FP&A, Credit and Capital Markets
• Lead the practical deployment of AI to automate repetitive finance tasks, applying rigorous cost/benefit judgement
• Work collaboratively across Finance, Data, Product and Operations on problems that don’t sit neatly within one team’s remit
• Help drive AI and data literacy across the Finance team
