Job summary

SPX Technologies Radiodetection in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on, people-focused finance professional to support the UK Finance Controller and lead the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams. This role blends month-end, compliance, and process-improvement with transactional finance leadership responsibilities.

You will manage management accounts, VAT, tax, statutory reporting, and drive efficiency across AR/AP, fixed assets, and reporting, while developing the transactional

Qualifications

• Relevant and varied accounting experience.
• Experience of working to deadlines.
• Proven experience in AR and AP, including management or supervisory responsibilities.
• Knowledge of VAT rules and experience preparing VAT returns.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the AR and AP teams, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
• Oversee customer invoicing, credit control, supplier payments, and reconciliation processes.
• Maintain strong internal controls across transactional finance.
