Job summary

Financial Systems Manager position in Hertford, England focuses on leading the review and optimisation of finance platforms and interfaces across the organisation. You will drive the integration of finance and operational systems post-merger and improve data flows and GL structures.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience as Systems Accountant or Finance Systems role.
• Strong understanding of financial systems and GL structures.
• Ability to analyse, manipulate and interpret complex data.
• Experience working with IT and non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience in systems implementation, integration or merger projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead review and optimisation of finance systems and interfaces.
• Support integration of finance and operational systems after merger.
• Understand data flows across systems landscape.
• Ensure GL integrity and system integrations.
• Enhance reporting through Power BI and other tools.
• Collaborate with Finance and IT to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Review data quality, controls and reconciliation across systems.
• Support users with system enhancements, testing and process improvements.
• Act as link between finance, systems and tech teams.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline processes.
• Provide documentation, training and knowledge transfer.
