Job summary

Ashdown Group is seeking a Finance Systems Transformation Lead for an initial six-month interim assignment with hybrid working in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on modernising finance systems, processes and reporting, combining technical accounting with process improvement to drive automation and stronger controls.

Qualifications

• Requires a recognised accountancy qualification or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience as a Systems Accountant or in Finance Transformation.
• Proven track record delivering improvements in finance systems and processes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems, financial reporting and Excel.
• Experience driving automation and strengthening financial controls.
• Good project management with ability to prioritise and work autonomously.
• Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across levels.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing existing finance systems and processes to identify issues, inefficiencies and opportunities for automation.
• Leading improvements through to implementation with documentation and embedding of new processes.
• Reviewing month-end procedures, reconciliations, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Improving financial reporting capabilities, including development of budget templates and reporting tools.
• Working with SUN Systems, Dynamics and Excel to resolve issues and streamline processes.
• Improving expenses and procurement processes, including updating procedures and templates.
• Coordinating improvement projects and engaging with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Supporting senior finance leadership with coordination of finance workstreams.
