Job summary

Sheridan Maine is partnering with a Dorset-based organisation to recruit a Systems & Projects Accountant. You will combine accounting know‑how with finance systems expertise to keep systems running smoothly and drive project improvements.

The role features a remote-first setup with office attendance in Dorset about twice a month. You’ll support reporting, process improvements and data integrity across finance systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with finance systems administration, development or implementation.
• Experience with ERP/financial accounting systems (Dynamics 365 or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial data reporting.
• Experience improving finance processes and contributing to project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management and development of the organisation's finance systems.
• Lead finance systems projects, upgrades and implementations.
• Maintain system data, user access and financial structures for accuracy.
• Develop and enhance financial reports and management information.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting.
• Investigate and resolve system issues with internal teams and providers.
• Support system testing, reconciliations and data integrity checks.
• Provide training to finance colleagues and other system users.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver practical system solutions.
