Are you a Workday Financials expert with a passion for driving efficiency and shaping the future of finance systems? Our client is building an exciting new function within the Finance team, and we're looking for a Finance Systems Product Owner to join the team and make a real impact.

In this pivotal role, you'll be the bridge between Finance, IT, and technical teams, translating complex business needs into clear system requirements. You'll lead one direct report and work closely with senior leaders to define and own the strategic vision and roadmap for all finance systems, with a primary focus on Workday Financials.

You'll champion system adoption, introduce new features, and proactively identify improvements to processes and system usage. Beyond Workday, you'll provide essential support for platforms like Jaggaer, Hornbill, and Anaplan, ensuring seamless integration and alignment across the wider business.

Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap: Collaborate seamlessly with Finance SMEs, HR, Operations, and IT to understand their needs and challenges.
• Define and deliver: Translate complex business requirements into prioritised product backlog items, clear user stories, testing protocols, and acceptance criteria.
• Strategic ownership: Own and drive the long-term product roadmap and strategic direction for our finance systems.
• Enhance and optimise: Continuously improve Workday Financials and other platforms through user research, data analysis, and proactive identification of automation opportunities.
• Champion adoption: Develop and deliver engaging training materials, ensuring high user engagement and effective adoption of financial systems.
• Drive efficiency: Monitor and report on process efficiency and data quality, championing improvements in self-serve reporting and dashboarding.
• Foster collaboration: Cultivate a collaborative and agile product team environment.
• Manage change: Oversee small system changes and records management effectively.

Experience Required

• Extensive experience as a super user in Workday Financials, ideally with prior exposure to other finance platforms.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial systems and processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both technical and non-technical individuals.
• Good understanding of the wider market, latest trends and challenges.
• Ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in structuring and manipulating large data sets.
• Crafting clearly understood and engaging presentations.
• Strategic thinker with a big-picture perspective.
• Collaborative team player with strong leadership qualities.
• Proactive and adaptable.
