Job summary

JSS is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to own the D365 F&O BAU and support landscape, sitting between business, support teams and project delivery. The role includes governance establishment, backlog management, and stakeholder engagement across UK and offshore teams.

The candidate should have 8–10+ years in ERP and related roles, hands-on D365 F&O configuration, and a delivery-focused approach to drive ongoing improvements as the programme scales.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, including configuration.
• Proven ability to introduce structure, governance, and support models.
• Strong stakeholder management with confidence to push back when needed.
• Hands-on, delivery-focused role with offshore teams experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the D365 F&O support function with configuration understanding.
• Provide indirect leadership to a team across the UK and South Africa.
• Establish governance frameworks and operational structure.
• Manage and improve ticket backlog and SLAs (target under 2 weeks ageing).
• Collaborate with third-party support vendors in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
• Ensure BAU is clearly separated from project delivery.

Perm Finance System Manager - (D365 F&O)

1 day per week in London office

Overview

We’re supporting a client going through a significant ERP transformation, looking for a Senior Finance Manager – to take ownership of their D365 F&O BAU and support landscape.

This role will sit between the business, support teams, and project delivery, helping to introduce structure, strengthen governance, and improve how the environment operates as the programme continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the D365 F&O support function, with a strong understanding of configuration
• Provide indirect leadership to a team of 11 across the UK and South Africa
• Establish and embed governance frameworks and operational structure
• Manage and improve ticket backlog and SLAs (targeting <2-week ageing)
• Prioritise issues based on business impact
• Challenge and influence stakeholders to ensure delivery stays on track
• Analyse recurring issues to identify root causes (system, training, or change)
• Work closely with third-party support vendors (Cape Town and Johannesburg)

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O (essential), including configuration understanding
• 8–10+ years’ experience across ERP / business applications roles
• Proven ability to introduce structure, governance, and support models
• Strong stakeholder management with confidence to push back where needed
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on, delivery-focused role
• Experience working with distributed / offshore teams
• Exposure to Workday, HR systems, or modern workplace platforms beneficial

• Functional and business analysts (UK & South Africa)
• Finance systems leadership and SMEs
• Solution architect and PMO support
• Data migration and legacy system specialists
• D365 has been live for several years, with recent and ongoing rollout phases
• Next phase currently underway, with go-live planned early next year
• Workday Phase 2 also progressing in parallel (go-live later this year)
• A key objective is to clearly separate BAU from project delivery to improve overall effectiveness
