This is an exciting time to join the team at Zodiac Maritime as they undergo a transformation programme. In 2024, MS Dynamics 365 (Finance and Operations) and an EPM solution were implemented, with new operational solutions scheduled for 2025.

Based five days a week at our central London office, you will collaborate closely with the finance and transformation teams and various stakeholders across the business. Your focus will be on the optimization and continuous improvement of the ERP and EPM systems and processes, reviewing interfaces with other internal and third-party systems, and maintaining the finance system technology stack. You will also oversee the financial impact of upcoming solutions such as procurement and crewing.

The ideal candidate will build credibility through a hands-on, collaborative approach, bringing technical and financial systems expertise while continuously challenging business processes.

Key responsibilities and primary deliverables:

1. Maintain configuration in D365 and other finance systems (e.g., consolidation, OCR), ensuring standards, controls, documentation, and safeguards are in place and adhered to.
2. Manage quarterly upgrades of Microsoft systems and oversee regression testing of all business processes and system integrations.
3. Manage relationships with third-party IT support providers.
4. Monitor and coordinate the integrity of interfaces between finance systems and other internal and external systems.
5. Design and deliver training to develop team members to superuser status on D365, processes, controls, and proficiency in other finance systems like EPM.
6. Support and prioritize enhancement requests from users.
7. Monitor finance system error logs, identify issues, and collaborate with finance and IT colleagues to resolve them.
8. Act as a key contact for IT to ensure clear communication and minimize disruptions during IT maintenance.
9. Assist in month-end close, consolidation, budgeting, and forecasting processes from a system perspective.
10. Liaise with auditors regarding IT-related queries.
11. Work with Finance leadership to ensure the system landscape meets business requirements.
12. Coordinate with business areas to maintain data integrity and capture additional data for management reporting.
13. Proactively identify, report, and correct operational risks.
14. Collaborate with Finance leadership to design and implement improved workflows and management reports, either in D365 or EPM.
15. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Finance and across Zodiac, prioritizing with Finance Leadership and CTO.
16. Manage stakeholder relationships, including lessons learned and feedback loops between Finance and other departments.

Skills profile

• Qualified Accountant with a strong finance background.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / AX or other ERP systems.
• Experience with financial reporting and Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI.
• Practical experience supporting full lifecycle of finance and accounting system upgrades.
