Phinsys Finance Systems Manager - Insurance

Leading Lloyds Syndicate is seeking a Finance Systems Manager to join their London team. This role oversees the daily operations of the company's newly implemented finance system, Phinsys, supporting quarterly and year-end closing processes and promoting effective use of Phinsys across the business.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead financial close processes for data-intensive deliverables using Phinsys and End User Computing solutions.
  2. Coordinate and monitor Phinsys inputs from key data sources.
  3. Implement and maintain processes supporting Phinsys use.
  4. Oversee system changes, enhancements, and releases.
  5. Serve as the key contact for user training and support.
  6. Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, systems, and policies.
  7. Support the close process by ensuring Phinsys readiness and configuration.
  8. Manage support tickets related to Phinsys.
  9. Implement financial enhancements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  10. Document testing and troubleshoot issues.
  11. Collaborate with IT and other departments to meet user needs and document requirements.
  12. Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into deliverables.
  13. Identify process improvements and maintain system documentation.
  14. Perform system administration tasks including configuration, monitoring, and documentation.
  15. Assist in go-live and support BAU activities.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience with Phinsys implementation.
  • Experience in a finance systems role supporting quarter-end reporting.
  • Industry experience in GI or Lloyds Insurance.
  • Understanding of Financial Reporting and UK GAAP.
  • Background in financial reporting with large data volumes.
  • Experience in continuous improvement projects.
  • Advanced Excel skills; basic SQL knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of APIs and systems connectivity.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Qualified Accountant preferred but not essential.

This role involves regular stakeholder interaction and offers potential career progression to managerial roles. The company supports a hybrid work environment with three days in the office.
