Job summary

James Andrews Technology is seeking a Finance Systems Implementation Lead to deliver a brand-new finance system for a public body. Based in Manchester or London with hybrid working, you will align finance, IT and external partners from requirements through testing and rollout.

You will map processes, configure the system, support data migration, and develop MI dashboards while training staff to adopt new ways of working. The role requires strong accounting knowledge and ERP experience.

Qualifications

Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CCAB, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) or significant relevant experience.
Strong understanding of finance processes, financial controls and reporting.
Experience in finance system implementations, ERP projects or finance transformation.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery and implementation of a new finance system with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Set up and lead the project team, translating business requirements into system solutions.
Review finance processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, controls and automation.
Oversee system configuration, testing, data migration and UAT.
Help cleanse, validate and reconcile financial data during the implementation.
Develop reporting requirements and dashboards for management information.
Produce process documentation, user guides and training materials.
Deliver training and support colleagues in adopting new systems and processes.
Build strong relationships across Finance, IT and operations to ensure delivery.
Support project planning, risk management and issue resolution.
Maintain appropriate financial controls and governance during the transition.
