Job summary

CIFAS is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our London team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role covers accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase ledger and payroll administration, with involvement in systems implementation and process improvements.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will help embed new expenses and AP systems, strengthen financial controls, and support management reporting and year-end activities during a period of transformation.

Qualifications

• GCSE English & Maths qualification at A-C grade, or equivalent qualification, essential.
• Fully qualified accountant through a recognised professional body (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent), 1-2 years PQE.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and strong technical accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting accounts payable, ensuring invoices, expenses and card transactions are coded, approved and processed.
• Checking payroll information and completing reconciliations with People & Culture for queries.
• Supporting management reporting, reconciliations and budget holder reporting.
• Leading the final implementation and embedding of new expenses and accounts payable systems.
• Supporting rollout and use of purchase orders to improve expenditure controls.
• Facilitating transition from manual processes to automated, system-led controls.
• Providing support across accounts receivable and other finance processes during peak periods and audits.
• Contributing to integration of AccountsIQ and Dynamics, including testing and reconciliations.
• Maintaining finance procedures and delivering training to managers and budgets.
