Job summary

Airwallex in London is seeking a senior leader to shape the future of the Finance function, acting as both product manager and lead engineer for AI-enabled finance platforms. You will own the end-to-end delivery, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate with global teams to transform data, processes and tooling.

The role requires 5+ years in software or engineering, top-tier credentials, and a track record in fintech or enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software or forward deployed engineering experience.
• Strong Product Sense: view engineering through a commercial lens and care about user experience.
• Comfort with Ambiguity: map out technical specs from high-level direction.
• Pragmatic Problem Solver: self-directed, deliver outcomes overcoming blockers.
• Clear Communication: discuss technical trade-offs with infrastructure teams and executives.

Responsibilities

• Embed with global Finance teams to identify high-impact use cases.
• Define and own the end-to-end AI transformation roadmap for Finance.
• Own technical delivery from prototype to production.
• Codify building blocks for others to reuse.
• Lead change management and upskilling for new tools.
• Track and report outcomes with accountability.
