Department Description

The Finance & Treasury function covers a broad spectrum of financial responsibilities for the Bank. Under the leadership of the CFO and finance department heads, the team handles equity raising, investor relations, treasury and liquidity management, prudential risk and regulatory reporting, financial reporting and accounting, financial planning, and tax activities.

Role Description

We are seeking a Finance Systems Accountant to join our Financial Control team during an exciting growth phase. The successful candidate will help develop and optimize our finance technology landscape, supporting existing systems like Oracle NetSuite, implementing new systems and automation, enhancing processes and controls, and advancing our finance data strategy.

This role suits someone with a strong blend of accounting expertise and systems experience, particularly with NetSuite or similar Oracle applications.

Principal Accountabilities

• Manage configuration and administration of finance system applications, including user access, change management, and metadata management.
• Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards from NetSuite and other applications, providing insightful KPIs to finance and the broader business.
• Lead system testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), for new configurations and enhancements.
• Support finance technology projects and automation initiatives.
• Serve as the main liaison between finance, third-party vendors, and the wider technology team.
• Identify and implement improvements to finance system processes and controls, including workflows, reconciliations, and month-end activities.
• Provide training and support to finance staff, promoting best practices in system usage.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial reporting and month-end close activities.
• Oversee finance system governance, documentation, and audit trail management.

Personal Attributes & Experience

• Proven experience in finance or accounting roles with strong systems expertise, preferably with NetSuite or Oracle applications.
• Experience working in a fast-growing company, ideally in FinTech or tech industries.
• Passion for leveraging technology and automation, including AI tools, to improve finance functions.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Problem-solving skills and influencing ability.
