Financial Systems Accountant

Salary to £58K.

Please note- this is a hybrid role and candidates need to be based in the UK with full right to work in the UK. Candidates will need to be from an education, not for profit, charity or public sector background to be considered.

My client is seeking a Financial Systems Accountant to take ownership of all financial systems, ensuring they are efficient, secure, and aligned with the trust s strategic goals. This is a key role within the finance team, responsible for system management, data integrity, reporting, and user support across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee, maintain, and optimise key financial platforms.
• Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and maintain compliance with audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in finance processes.
• Provide expert advice and training to finance and non-finance users, developing resources to enhance system proficiency.
• Ensure all financial systems meet regulatory standards, conduct audits, and maintain robust security measures.

The ideal candidate:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or extensive relevant experience.
• Strong technical expertise in financial systems.
• Proven ability to manage system integrations, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements.
• Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
